Holy face is the term to define a member of the clergy.

Himation — (Greek). A rectangular cloth draped over a chiton and around the neck and sometimes fastened with a clasp, also serving as a decoration. Himation is encountered on the icons of Orthodox saints.

Hand-span sized icon (pyadnichnaya ikona) - hand or palm-sized icons, about 30 х 24 cm in size.

Hagiography icon – the icon with central depiction of a saint and scenes from his life on the borders (border panels).

Holy Gates – the main gates of the iconostasis – consist of two hinged doors. The doors may be entered only by the clergy during a service.
