Myrrh-bearers and two sitting angels are depicted by the Lord’s Tomb.

The icon depicts the myrr-bearers who came in the morning in the first day after Sabbath to the Tomb of the Rosen Jesus Christ carrying aromas and fragrances (myrrh) to anoint the body of Christ. The Angel tells the myrr-bearers that Christ is risen and will meet them in Gallilee. The scene develops against a mountain landscape. The Angel with raised wings is shown seated on a round stone, next to diagonally laid sarcophagus with shrouds. To his right are three sleeping warriors in armor suits – the guards of the Holy Sepulchre.

Dormition of the Holy Virgin, the Theophany. The Appearance of the Angels to the Myrrh-Bearing Women
The scenes of the four festivals on the icon obviously represent a program suggesting different interpretations. In the upper left part of the icon is the scene of the Nativity of Christ, in the right part is the Dormition of the Holy Virgin. In the bottom part are the scenes of the Theophany and the Appearance of the Angels to the Myrrh-Bearing Women. -
The icon portrays two women by the Holy Sepulcher holding alabasters with incense, and the Mother of God, who, according to a version, was together with them. To the right is an angel announcing the Resurrection of Christ.

The icon shows five myrrh-bearers holding the vessels in their hands bending over the empty tomb with the white shrouds lying in it. At the head of the Lord’s Tomb is sitting the angel attired in the white clothes holding a thin baton in his hand, announcing the Resurrection of the Savior. Above, between the angel and the myrrh-bearers in the split of the rocky rocks can be seen the figure of Christ and to His left is depicted kneeling Mary Magdalene. The Savior is pointing at the town surrounded by the vallum which symbolizes the Jerusalem above.
