Annunciation. Four evangelists
Iconography: Half-doors of Holy Gates, Canopy
Date: XVII century.
Origin: From the church commemorating the Transfiguration of Christ in the village of Borisoglebskoye on the Irma river, Cherepovetsky district, Novgorodskaya region (now Sheksninsky district of the Vologodskaya region).
Material: Wood, tempera
Dimensions: height 160, сень 52 cm, width 78, сень 110 cm
Sanctuary doors with the canopy. In the centre of the canopy is the half-figure of Sabaoth. At His sides is represented Eucharist. Below the scene of the Eucharist of the Apostles are depicted the seraph and the cherub. In the upper part of the leaves is represented the scene of Annunciation. Below are shown the figures of the four evangelists: John the Theologian, Matthew, Luke and Mark.
Were deposited in 1931.
