Date: XIII century. The first third 13th c.

Origin: From the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin where it was located on the southern wall of Metropolitan Philip’s tomb.

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 61 cm, width 146 cm

In the central part of the icon is the figure of the Savior represented in a frontal pose. He is flanked by the shoulder-length figures of the Mother of God and John the Baptist whose faces are turned to the Savior.
