The half-length figure of Christ in a bright-red nimbus with golden rays inside. Christ is dressed in a dark-red dalmatic with wide golden edging; his head is covered with a high closed crown. The Savior is blessing with his right hand and holds with his left a scepter terminating with a cross. From his left shoulder comes off a sword. On Christ’s chest hangs an oval panagia reading “Слово Б(о)жие”. On His left thigh is an inscription “Ц(а)рь Ц(а)рем и Г(о)с(по)дь Г(о)с(п)од(е)мъ”. In the bottom part of the icon is an inscription: “Писана сия новыя Господня икона местную в сию соборную церковь в лето 7198-м го писал сеи Спасителя образ города Мурома изуграф Александр Иванов сын Казанцев”.
