Origin: From the Savior-Transfiguration Cahedral, Spasskiy Monastery (?), Yaroslavl.

Material: Wood, levkas, tempera

Dimensions:  height 79 cm, width 65 cm

The icon from the festival row. The scene of the Raising of Lazarus is represented against a rocky background. Jesus Christ is shown standing by Lazarus’ cave. By His feet are Martha and Mary – Lazar’s sisters. In the black deep of the cave is the swaddled body of Lazarus. Behind Christ stands a group of the apostles.
