Iconography: The New Testament Trinity

The “Fatherhood” icon represents the New Testament Trinity. The icon depicts God the Father (Ancient of Days) seated on the throne. On his lap sits the Savior Emmanuel holding a blue sphere with a pigeon in the center (a symbol of the Holy Spirit). Above the halo the Savior Emmanuel’s halo is the inscription “IС ХС” (Jesus Christ the Savior).
